Please add anything I've forgotten.<div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Journal Club</span></div><div>Format will stay the same as last Spring.</div><div>This will include: </div><div><ul><li>presentations by one person, continuing to include lots of background<br /></li><li>the same paper rules: picked one month ahead of time with a faculty mentor and sent out one week early via Erin [etrail(at)bu(dot)edu]</li><li>presenter should include discussion questions and/or a summary paragraph to be sent out with the paper to encourage people to focus their thoughts</li><li>this spiffy little blog to foster discussion and let people ask their (dumb) questions before the actual gathering</li></ul><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">RIP</span></div><div>These will change a little bit.</div><div><ul><li>either one or two people will present their current data</li><li>the presenter should be interested in the advice/feedback of the audience<br />examples include: graduate students trying to figure out what data to put in a paper, postdocs looking to figure out how to go about solving a newly-identified project and, most importantly, anyone needing advice on how to interprete data or troubleshoot a protocol.</li><li>the presentation should take up less than half of the scheduled time to allow for plenty of discussion</li></ul></div></div><div><br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4533362264577087814-1894558963901208188?l=bumicro.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>BUmicrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09763449426181844550noreply@blogger.com0
